MY STORY

From a young age, I was obsessed with human potential, constantly learning from leaders on Oprah’s platform. "J-Oprah" was my middle school nickname because I couldn’t get enough of hearing about people transforming their lives.

I learned that the right people, ideas, and resources could transform anything - and that's what I bring to The Founders Place: perspective, tools, and connections to help you take your career further, faster.

In college I even convinced my professor at Tufts University to let me write my senior thesis on the profession of coaching.

After graduation, I took a “real” job at an investment bank - only to realize fast that corporate life wasn’t it. I quit cold turkey to take an unpaid internship at an executive coaching company in NYC (which forced me to become my grandma’s roommate). That season taught me what it really means to chase purpose without a plan, and lit a fire in me to better understand how to build success with both purpose and financial power.

Later, as a recruiter for VC-backed startups, I saw the “success” behind the curtain - big titles, big money - but felt disconnected. The pain of wanting my own big career success while doing meaningful work was overwhelming. So I hired a coach, mapped my exit, and launched my own business in 2010, aligning my work with my true calling.

My clients came to me stuck in jobs that drained them, craving freedom and purpose, and I helped them turn those ideas into structured businesses - many that developed into six or seven figures. But the real wins? Watching them believe in themselves, reclaim their time, and build lives that were true to the core.

My work has evolved from coaching to growth strategy, but the mission is the same: helping people break past limits and become powerful creators, on their terms.

2000s

  • Wrote my thesis at Tufts University on the Profession of Coaching

  • Hired my first coach to help me career transition to entrepreneurship

  • Graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2010

2010s

  • Started my Coaching business full-time in 2010

  • Moved to Portland to grow my business with the support of endless yoga and forest walks

  • Co-won a $65k trip around the world with a client - thank you Travelocity!

  • Became a Business Coach for the Institute of Integrative Nutrition

Now

  • Moved to Costa Rica 2021-2025 solo to learn surfing and spanish

  • Launched the online membership, The Founders Place, a global community of change makers

  • Purchased 1 acre of oceanview land with Costa Ricans to develop an international learning center (and home) with ECHO/Wondermore.org
